Day 1 - Palm Sunday

Today is Palm Sunday! Many years ago, big crowds of people were following Jesus to listen to him teach about God’s Kingdom. Jesus had healed many people too. One Sunday, the crowds cut down palm branches and some even laid their coats across the road and cheered as Jesus entered Jerusalem.

What are some ways we can welcome Jesus into out lives and homes?

Read Mark 11:1-10

Day 2 - Monday

When Jesus went to Jerusalem, he also visited the Temple. There were people selling things in the temple and cheating people out of their money. That made Jesus angry because thy temple was supposed to be a place to worship God.

How can we use our money to worship God?

Read mark 11:15-19

Day 3 - Tuesday

The leaders from the temple didn’t like the things that Jesus was teaching. The temple leaders asked Jesus questions to try to trick him into saying something that would get him in trouble. One day, they asked Jesus if it was right to pay taxes to the Roman Emperor.

What are some other ways we can give to God?

Read Mark 12:13-17

Day 4 - Wednesday

On this Wednesday, Jesus watched as people went to the Temple to give money to God. Some made a big show of giving lots of money. They wanted everyone to see them giving. But one person didn’t.

What can we learn from the woman in the story?

Read her story in Mark 12:41-44

Day 6: Part 1 - Good Friday!

The temple leaders wanted to get rid of Jesus. They didn’t want people to follow him so they told lies about Jesus. Because of that, Jesus was arrested. It was a very sad day because the authorities decided to put Jesus to death on the a cross.

What does the Bible teach us about why Jesus died on the cross?

Day 6: Part 2 - Good Friday!

When Jesus died, his friends took his body down from the cross and wrapped it in linen cloth. They placed Jesus’ body in a tomb cut out of rock.

Day 7 - Silent Saturday

On that Saturday, everything was so still you could almost hear the earth breathe. There was nothing the could be done. Saturday was a waiting day.

Say a prayer to thank Jesus for giving his life to save us.

Day 8 - Resurrection Sunday!

Early on that Sunday morning (*cue the organ), the women who were followers of Jesus went to the tomb and found an amazing surprise!
